He has extensive experience from working in business development and sales administration, as well as in the management of different types of large scale projects implemented in multiethnic environments. At Finalgo Mr. Sihvo is responsible for overall management of the company, development of large business development projects for the clients of Finalgo, contract negotiations, assembling of multidisciplinary project teams and sales. These include the devleopment of several joint venture projects between Finnish and Algerian companies, reseling schemes as well as other large projects developped by Finalgo together with their clients. Mr Sihvo is also the CFO of Finalgo. Prior to his career at Finalgo, Mr Sihvo worked as Vice President for Business Development at Clean Globe International/ Lamor Group, a company managing and creating oil spill response centres and selling equipments in different parts of the world. While there, Mr Sihvo was responsible for coordinating the different negotiations for the creation of these centres in various parts of the world: North Africa, Middle East, CIS countries, negotiating for financing, managing the elaboration of business plans, negotiating service contracts for the centres, etc. In addition to a more than 10 years hands on project management and developing experience and sales eperience in Algeria and North Africa, Mr Sihvo has extensive experience of lobbying for risk investment money both from multilateral financing institutions as well as from private risk investors. Mr Sihvo has also a background as a consultant working in large international environmental development projects for the EU, World Bank, Finnish Foreign Ministry, etc, while as project manager for Pöyry Environment Oy within the Jaakko Pöyry Group, In addition to the business sector, Mr Sihvo has also been in close contact with public administration during his career, as he has debuted as a civil servant for the Finnish Government. He has been representing Finland in numerous working group meetings of the EU and different organs of the UN organisation dealing with international environmental and energy issues. |
